I write a daily deal of the day post about great bargains I snagged. I recently booked a round-trip flight for five from Detroit to New Orleans on December 23 for $408 per ticket. That might sound high, but the 23rd is one of the priciest days to fly. Most tickets started at $500. But daughter who we visiting wanted family there for Christmas Eve.
